Symphonic Band
The Symphonic Band class offers an exciting opportunity for Beginning and Intermediate level Wind students! The class is primarily made up of 9th & 10th grade students. This class is designed to foster musical growth and teamwork among students who are eager to learn and perform. The Symphonic Band performs concerts every quarter, showcasing the hard work and dedication of its members. This class is open to all students, regardless of their prior experience with wind instruments. While some background in music is strongly recommended, it is not a requirement, making this an inclusive environment for aspiring musicians! The Symphonic Band offers a supportive atmosphere where you can thrive. All incoming 9th grade Band students should plan to enroll in the Symphonic Band class. Wind Ensemble
The Coronado Wind Ensemble, an Advanced-level band class designed for dedicated Wind instrument students in grades 10 through 12. This prestigious ensemble offers a unique opportunity for musicians to enhance their skills and showcase their talents. The Wind Ensemble performs concerts every quarter, allowing students to experience the thrill of live performance and develop their stage presence. In addition to regular concerts, members participate in the AMEA Regional Band Auditions and engage in various performance competitions and festivals throughout the year, providing valuable experience and recognition. Students also have exciting opportunities to travel across Arizona, broadening their musical horizons and fostering camaraderie among peers. Please note that participation in this elite group requires an audition, ensuring that all members are committed to excellence in music.
Percussion Ensemble
Join our dynamic Percussion Ensemble class, designed for all students eager to enhance their percussion skills! This engaging course covers a wide range of percussion techniques, including rudimental, marching, concert, and keyboard percussion. Students will have the exciting opportunity to perform alongside the talented members of the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble, as well as showcase their skills in dedicated concerts throughout the year. While prior experience is recommended, it is not a requirement—this class welcomes all students from Freshman to Senior year.
